From the Harlem to Hamburg
Professor of German William Donahue has organized a team including faculty from UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State, and NC Central to embark on an inter-institutional approach to the influence of key aspects of Africa-American culture through the lens of German Culture.
The engagement of faculty from four area universities will create the prerequisite for meaningful networks that will extend beyond the parameters of this project. Undergraduate student participants will be engaged in activities aimed at developing undergraduate independent studies, senior theses, honors projects, and internships. Graduate student teaching assistants will work closely with the undergraduate students and the faculty.
